a little bouncing back

The father's day weekend was a little rough for me as far as dieting and healthy eating goes. I went to three different birthday celebrations, a father's day celebration, and a business dinner which threw my entire eating patterns into a mess as I tried to balance my watering mouth for the beautifully iced birthday cake over the mindset of my six weeks of uber-uber healthy eating. I slipped a little so I didn't loose as much weight this week as I have been loosing in the past couple weeks. I fought through most of it though and still lost one pound. That, I believe, was quite the accomplishment considering.

On a side note- I found a few exercise videos while browsing pinterest. Now my general 'problem' areas, where things tend to get unsightly and flabby, are my thighs, bottom, and abs (I know... is this the same for almost everyone right?). I was very excited when I stumbled across these during my perusal of pinterest and thought I would share them with you. I tried them last night and the burn was pretty intense (which means its working right?).

Wall Bridge (tones back and butt)

Lie on back with butt against wall, arms at sides, knees bent, and feet planted 3 to 4 feet up wall. Exhale and peel lower and mid back off floor, keeping shoulder blades down, so body forms a nearly straight line from chest to knees. Hold for a deep inhale, then exhale and slowly roll back down. Read More[zilla_button url="http://www.prevention.com/wall-workout-wall-bridge" style="grey" size="small" type="square" target="_blank"] Watch the Video [/zilla_button]

Windshield Wipers (tones inner and outer thighs)

From Wall Bridge starting position, extend legs straight up against wall so body forms an L. Inhale and slowly lower left leg down wall like a clock arm toward 9 o'clock; exhale and return to start. Repeat with right leg, sweeping toward 3 o'clock. Continue to alternate legs until you've completed all reps. Read More[zilla_button url="http://www.prevention.com/wall-workout-windshield-wiper" style="grey" size="small" type="square" target="_blank"] Watch the Video [/zilla_button]*found the exercises on pinterest which led me to the source at prevention magazine
