a little bit of success goes a long way
So - my hubby and I have been gorging ourselves on fruits, veggies, and beans all week with our diet. We did our grocery shopping on Saturday and have sense been bringing our lunches to work. So far this week I haven't gone out to eat once for lunch - I have been breaking out my tupperware and cute little lunch box and "brown bagging it." My lunches these days consist of a big salad, steamed veggies, and some sort of fruit.
I'll be honest- I have totally be craving things. Someone brought in some some exotic cookies from his vacation in Hawaii (no joke) and my boss buys us bagels every Wednesday (and I succumbed and ate a tiny piece of one! but I got a stomach ache right after. weird). The enormous about of fruit though has curbed most of my sweet cravings- plus since I'm eating food so low in calories I have to eat a ton of them which leaves me incredibly full after each meal (I'm not bluffing). Plus, I have made a new dessert- banana ice cream (which is literally just frozen bananas massed up) which is soooo good and helped with my ice cream craving. So my results?
Β Yes indeed! Two pounds since last week's weigh-in! That's pretty impressive for just one week and no exercise. I'm currently on cloud nine and loving it. My husband this morning even pointed out that my 'love handles' were much smaller (then he quickly clarified that they were that big to begin with- for fear I might be offended) which excited me to no end. He then made an off handed comment about have to get me new jeans. :) My husband said it not me! Just another benefit added to getting healthy- I will have to buy new clothes! It is really amazing to me how those two little pounds have completely shifted my mood. I feel better about myself - not just mentally but physically. :)
